New Year Wishes

We like to celebrate the New Year with some little fireworks and sparklers.  It brings a little magic to the festivities.  I have no idea how to buy them this time of year, so we buy them in July and save them.  You never know when you might need a little magic after all.
This New Year's, we also made a special visit to Portland's Wishing Tree.  It's in front of a home on NE Morris St. and 7th Ave. and is a gift of love to the community from the kind woman who lives there. Anyone can write their wishes on tags and hang them up to share them with our wonderful city.  I wasn't sure if there would be a supply of tags, so I brought a few just in case.  They sell them at Office Max, so next time I think I'll buy a package and leave the rest there for others.  The wishes were sweet, silly, cerebral, poignant, and really fun to read.

BFF side 1.
BFF side 2.
Happy New Year everyone!

This year we saved sparklers from the 4th of July to do on New year's eve as well... except it was pretty windy and we had some troubles getting them lit! But fun nonetheless..
