Buxton Trestle

The Buxton Trestle of the Banks Vernonia Trail is impressive.  We stopped by recently for a picnic and to see the views from on and below the structure.  The trail came about when a former railroad was delightfully converted into a 21 mile trail well loved by cyclists and equestrians. Under the trestle is a small creek where kids can splash and hunt for crawdads to their hearts' content. The street address for the Buxton Trailhead is 24600 NW Bacona Rd., Buxton, OR
