Camassia Natural Area is a spot we head to when we want a good anytime of the year nature walk. It's always stunning. The landscape was stripped bare long ago by the Missoula Floods, leaving a striking rocky landscape dotted with Oregon white oaks and Pacific madrones. In April, the meadows should be covered with an eye popping blanket of pink rosy plectritis and the park's namesake blue camas flowers. Our visit was cloudy near the horizon, but on a clear day there are sweeping views of Mt. Hood.
