Mary's Peak

Mary's Peak  is a lovely place for a short hike near Corvallis, which we visited on the way to the coast.  The views were beautiful, although the coast was quite foggy that day and we were unable to see as far as is possible on a really clear day.  It's a good place for spotting wildflower meadows and butterflies.

Star-flowered false Solomon's seal.
Jasper found a delicate piece of a wasp's nest.
Penstemon with bumblebee visitor.
Bear grass.
Iris.
Delphinium.
