Jasper has a pet garter snake named Slithery, and he has become completely fascinated with snakes. Naturally we had to take him to visit the
Serpentarium, a zoo for snakes, reptiles, and assorted creepy-crawlies in Monroe, WA. You would have thought we'd let him loose in a candy store! It was quite hot in the Serpentarium, and my husband and I began to droop, but Jasper could have stayed all day. The enclosures are clean and the animals look to be well catered to. Some smaller snakes are available for visitors to hold, and Jasper quickly made friends with them.
