The Lumberyard

I had read about The Lumberyard before it opened, and saw this blog post from a family who got a special preview.  I knew it was going to be rad!  But what to do?  My son was hesitant to leave his training wheels behind.  When a mom from our homeschool group decided to invite everyone to come check it out, Jasper knew it was time to give up those training wheels for good.  He didn't exactly have much practice without them, and I didn't know how this was going to go.  But the instant he saw the inside of this place, he completely fell in love with it and spent the next three hours persistently taking the challenge!  It's still pretty undiscovered- we had the whole place to ourselves for the whole morning!   Right now they are running a special- every weekday from 9AM- 12PM, kids 6 and under can ride for $5!  They can even rent bikes and helmets.  At lunchtime, we discovered that they have a nice little restaurant/pub with pizza and sandwiches for the hungry hoards.  Instead of fries they have tasty deep-fried tater tots.  I swear I'm not making this up- they had "deep fried s'mores" on their menu board!  How much more like heaven can this place get?
