Gingerbread Architecture at the Benson

We stopped by the Benson Hotel in downtown Portland to see their amazing annual gingerbread masterpiece.  This year, it's a scene with lots of separate buildings on teeny islands, inspired in part by Disney and the album art for Yessongs. I overheard several visitors whose reaction was, "Is this all?  Isn't there a big castle here somewhere?". But we really enjoyed it!  It's different, ambitious, and smells absolutely terrific! On display in their lobby until December 26.
