Missile to the Moon

We joined a huge crowd of enthusiastic Portlanders on the rooftop of a parking garage to watch Missile to the Moon, a 1958 movie about a scientist who makes a desperate voyage to the moon with various bystanders in tow, where they discover it populated with attractive, blue skinned vixens who are up to something, some "rock monsters" who attack by shuffling towards their victim very, very slowly, and a giant paper mache spider!  Filmusik, the mad scientists of the movie soundtrack, were there to provide the sound effects, voice acting, and music.  This really captured Jasper's imagination.  We both loved how the journey to the moon somehow required sailing past such spectacular scenery as Jupiter, Saturn, and the Milky Way itself!  Filmusik will be in Sewallcrest Park in SE Portland on August 12, for Gamara Vs. Giron, an awesome Japanese monster movie!  Your chance to catch them for free!
