Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Every spring, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest beckons.  It's a working flower farm with 40 acres of tulips in vivid bloom.  Kids go for the really wonderful playground that the tulip farm has provided, to ride the cow train, and to eat greasy fair food.   Parents go for  the chance to take many very nice pictures!  This year our homeschool group headed there for an outing, and I was taking pictures of the kids at play, hoping some might make the cut for our annual yearbook.  But I do have a few pictures to share.  It wouldn't be spring without the Tulip Fest!

So pretty! I have some of those "black" tulips, and my 4 year old found out something about them i never would have--they have purple pollen! Guess I am missing out on learning something by not sticking my finger into the middle of flowers! :)
