Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

We visited the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge to see what there is to see in the winter.  It's a refuge for birds and much of it is closed to the public in the winter.  But it's still a glorious place to wander on a sunny day.

Jasper was fascinated by the thousands of tiny fairy shrimp in one of the ponds.  He made this little movie.

I just love this magnificent tree.
