Legoland

We certainly weren't able to visit southern California without visiting Legoland, or our son would have felt it was high treason!  (There are perpetual free child admission coupons in Lego Club Magazine, which is also free.)  He thought it was the bee's knees!  Jasper met up with two friends there who made exploring the park unforgettable for him.  Legoland California has regular kid-friendly amusement park rides that have been enhanced with Lego décor.  There is also a display on Lego manufacturing, and MiniLand, which has a wide assortment of American landmarks rendered in Lego.  My favorite was Lego Las Vegas, because of course then you get replicas of the replicas of New York, Paris, and Egypt! There is also the Sea Life Aquarium, which I assumed would be a display of sea critters made out of Legos.  Instead we found a modest aquarium with real fish, with lots of superfluous Lego creations throughout.  Jasper's favorite was the gigantic Lego submarine!

Unlike most car driving rides, these cars were not on tracks and could be driven independently!

This was Jasper's favorite ride, the Aquazone Wave Racer!  Observers could operate fountains that intermittently blasted water on the riders.
