Feiro Marine Life Center

Juvenile giant Pacific octopus.
The Feiro Marine Life Center is housed in a small building in Port Angeles, WA near the ferry dock that connects the town to Seattle and a number of touristy shops and restaurants serving fried seafood.  We decided to check it out because it has touch pools, and there's not much in the world Jasper loves more than touch pools.  We were definitely glad we stopped by.  There were several big touch pools and many tanks full of the mysterious and beautiful creatures that live just out of sight beneath the waves. There was also a faithful recreation of the Elwha River on a water table.  A dam has been removed from the Elwha River in a long process that has taken three years.  Kids can recreate the dam removal in miniature, which Jasper thought was really fun.
