Fused Glass

Amazing artist Rae Campbell returned to the Tigard Library for a fused glass class.  She sets up an amazing buffet of different colors, shapes, textures, transparencies and opacities. Everyone starts with a clear glass square to decorate.  She lets participants choose if they want a flat suncatcher or a "sushi dish" and explains how different temperatures will create different textures in the finished piece.  We had a blast making our small masterpieces and returned several weeks later to pick up the fused results.  So fun!  

Jasper asked for the higher temperature fuse to make his finished piece smooth, and with a mold it became a small dish.  I asked for a lower fuse temperature just to adhere my glass together, and it became a flat suncatcher.
