Every fall, just after school begins, OHEN coordinates the "Not Back To School Day" at Oaks Park. It's a blast! The whole park is filled with homeschoolers. Last year, I remember well being with Jasper at the top of the ferris wheel, and just feeling joyful that we'd chosen this path that would allow us to have days like this of perfect freedom. Last year we ran into another family we know and spent part of our day with them, but most of the day was just our special day together. This year was very different. He had seven friends from his homeschool group to roam around with, which was even more fun! The day was a wonderful celebration of homeschooling! Three cheers for the wonderful folks at
