A Froglet!

We are so excited to have our first tadpole turn into a froglet!  After weeks of watching the tadpoles slowly grow larger and larger, and slowly grow back legs, this one made a very startling and sudden change into a teeny weeny frog!  We were prepared with a bark shelf, because froglets need to be able to climb out and breathe with their lungs.  This froglet is pretty lazy compared to the tadpoles that dart around all day.  I've read that froglets don't need to eat until  they absorb all the nutrients in their rapidly disappearing tails.  But soon, we'll have to get good at catching small insects to feed it.  Jasper is just fascinated to watch the tadpoles, and I am too!
