Spelling Bee This Saturday!

"Portland Youth Spelling Bee", Saturday,  February 5, 1PM (sign-ups at 12:45PM), Mississippi Pizza, 3552 N. Mississippi Ave., Pdx.  The spelling bee has three different difficulty levels, and is open to kids 5-18. Prizes are given to the winners, and every participant gets a treat.   I asked Molly Newman, the host of this cool event, how the spelling bee works specifically for younger kids. Her reply:  "Our Junior category at the Spelling Bee is for kids in approximately grades K-2 or ages 5-7, though I encourage everyone to compete in whichever round they feel most comfortable in (and kids can compete in more than one round, too)."  Check it out!  http://www.mississippipizza.com/
