Posada Milagro

Every year at Christmastime, the Milagro Theatre in Portland celebrates Christmas the Mexican way, with beautiful folk dancing and a pastorela- a play based on the Nativity.  There were tons of crafts for kids and lots of wonderful food.  And it's all free!  We enjoyed it very much.
A scene from the pastorela.  Devils confront angels while dancing to
Michael Jackson's "Bad".
This traditional dance was amazing.  The ladies placed lighted candles on their heads and kept them there.
Another traditional dance, "Tangu Yú", performed with clay dolls on the head.  These ladies
got a break because their dolls were fastened down, unlike the candles!
