Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge
We stopped for a ramble at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge on a warm spring day. The ponds are teeming with bullfrogs. When Jasper approached the edge of the pond, huge bullfrogs scattered in all directions, leaping into the pond with tremendous splashes and loud calls of "EEEEEEK!". He thought this was hysterical! He dipped a jar in the pond water to see what critters could be found beneath the surface, and then we were off for a walk in the woods to see what wildflowers were blooming.
