Mary S. Young Park

Our homeschool group had a gathering at Mary S. Young Park in West Linn to play in the water and enjoy a summer day. In the summer when the water is low, small islands form a cove that protects swimmers from the river currant. The islands were covered with an explosion of wildflowers.  We watched bald eagles soaring and resting on the end of one of the little islands.  I know there are trail maps on the city's website, but I always find the water just by choosing trails that head downhill.
