Enchanted Forest

No summer would be complete for us without a trip to the Enchanted Forest!  It's totally unique, the crazy and wonderful vision of one man and his family with kind hearts and a good sense of humor. We've always visited on weekdays and always found it busy but not crowded.  The people who work there are unfailingly good-natured, the rides are neato, it's nestled in a forested hillside so it's always shady, and they buy back ride tickets if you don't use them.  Who could ask for more?

You gotta see the Fantasy Fountains.  Find a seat in a darkened room, buy some pizza or open up your picnic lunch, and enjoy.  Lights that change color + cosmic music + lawn sprinklers = MAGIC!
They always have a campy, ridiculous play.  We saw. "Pinocchio".
The English Village.
The Ice Mountain roller coaster.
Jasper and friends peer out from the upper level of the Indian Caves.  I swear no park would ever be built today with a feature like this.  There are lots of winding tunnels to dash through, forming a maze with three levels and several entrances and exits which cannot all be seen from the same spot!  Egads!  I have never known a kid who didn't LOVE them and want to play in them for ages.
Jasper climbs out of the Indian Caves from underneath the teepee while I look down from inside.
The Haunted House.  Campy wonderful goodness with awesome creepy music.
The view from the top as our log on the Log Flume heads over the precipice.  There is a tremendous splash!  As you exit, you will discover that they take everyone's photo about halfway down (and of course you can buy it).
Kids love the Bumper Boats.  I've never seen these anywhere else and they are cool!
Humpty Dumpty in Storybook Village.
Little Bo Peep.
Alice in Wonderland.  She has a rabbit hole nearby which kids love to crawl through.
Mad Hatter, March Hare and Cheshire Cat.
