Sauvie Island Canoe Trip
We took another canoe trip with the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership, and this time we explored Gilbert River on Sauvie Island. Their summer canoe trips are free and open to paddlers ages 5 and older. I love to take Jasper on canoe trips because you see natural areas from such a different perspective when you're on the water. This time, we saw osprey, sandpipers, turkey vultures, kingfishers, and clear signs of beaver and river otters.
