Camassia Natural Area

We met some friends for a ramble at Camassia Natural Area, which is lovely any time of the year.  We just wanted to see what we could see.  The kids did an amazing job of finding cool things to look at.  Here are a few pictures.
Jasper befriends a Pacific chorus frog.

Bog deervetch.
Yarrow, with many beetle admirers.
An osprey nest.  We could just see the very top of a bird's white head.
This looks like hedgehog dogtail grass.  It's very showy.
Fool's onion being visited by a  female dimorphic long-horned beetle.
A salamander larva the kids found in one of the ponds.
The cottonwoods are already going to seed.
