Our homeschool group met at
Bella Organic Farm for some strawberry picking, and the strawberries were perfect! (Blueberries are currently ripe there and they will have marionberries and blackberries soon.) While the kids were picking, of course they were noticing all sorts of cool things.

Next, we headed over to
Wapato Access Greenway, a lovely park that includes a trail around the perimeter of Lake Victoria. We parked and walked the short distance to the picnic shelter for lunch, then started on a ramble around the lake. Somewhere about halfway down the trail, the skies opened up in a very un-Portland deluge! Of course, Portlanders are always prepared for rain, but don't carry umbrellas- why bother when it almost never rains hard? And when it does, it never seems to last more than a few minutes. This time, it didn't stop! We were soaked through! I definitely want to go back to explore more when I'm certain it will be dry.
