We had a really eventful Halloween! First we stopped by
Plumper Pumpkins to pick up a pumpkin. Our homeschool group went there for one of their fabulous spring field trips where the kids got to plant their own row of pumpkins. We needed to make sure we had one of these for making a special batch of pumpkin bread.
Next we headed to a friend's house to trick or treat. Their neighborhood has some serious Halloween spirit! Jasper wore a jellyfish costume this year, and he went from door to door making sounds like a jellyfish. The costume had lots of glowstick tentacles. He came home with lots of sugary loot! I kept myself busy taking pictures of the amazing displays we were visiting- lots of imagination and creativity on display!
The night wouldn't have been complete without a visit to the
Davis Graveyard! This private display is just amazing! I have to say I think it deserves more fame than Peacock Lane. The family who own the display really go all out to make it mind-boggling. There were life-size hologram ghosts everywhere, a couple of hearses parked outside, and a group of zombie high school kids dancing to Thriller outside the cemetery gates. This is definitely one of the Portland area's coolest hidden gems. It's a free gift of Halloween fun to the neighborhood!
