Tualatin Hills Nature Park
Our homeschool group went for a ramble in Tualatin Hills Nature Park. The Interpretive Center is a great place to meet up with a group, and the sheltering canopy of the trees makes it a hospitable place even on a rainy day. The kids seemed to be in a mood to celebrate not being cooped up indoors, and they took off like a shot, not pausing to seek out the park's sneaky newts. But as they dashed about they did find a frog, some strange flowers, and lots and lots and lots of mushrooms!
