Fernhill Wetlands
I've read that the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove is an oasis for birders, and wanted to check it out. We really felt like we'd hit the jackpot visiting this spot! It doesn't have woods to explore, just a path encircling a couple of large ponds. But the number and variety of birds we saw was amazing! Jasper was really excited. Being much closer to the ground than me, he also found some delightful beetles. And I was amazed at the number and variety of wildflowers blooming here in November! Here are some pictures.
